Owner / Chief Content Officer
A founding editor of eSchool Media, I've spent the last 17+ years writing about education and technology.
As Managing Editor and then Editor in Chief at eSchool Media, I oversaw all content and production for two national newspapers, six email newsletters, and three websites—with a total reach of nearly 1 million education leaders.
In 2013, in response to the seismic shift from traditional print advertising to content marketing and demand generation, I moved into the newly created role of Director of Content Services. In this hybrid sales/marketing/
editorial position, I worked with advertisers—including many Fortune 500 firms—to help showcase their successes. My efforts contributed to a 45-percent increase in content sponsorships and resulted in thousands of dollars in additional revenue for both advertisers and eSchool Media.
In 2014 I left eSchool Media to form Pierce Publishing. I now offer my writing, editing, and strategic content marketing expertise on a freelance and contract basis.
